How we count
Last updated 5 October 2026
The numbers are community-reported, from people who chose to share their finished razors.
- Every razor counts, however people got it: bought, a gift, a free sample or a product test.
- A model’s numbers appear once 10 people have finished razors of it. Until then, the app shows how many finished razors, from how many people, it has so far.
- Razors swapped while still fine, lost, or still in use count as “lasted at least this long”, not as worn out.
- Typical shaves come only from razors whose shaves were tapped, once 10 of them count.
- Razors people typed in themselves count once we’ve matched them to a model in our list.
- Comparisons of habits or shaving products need at least 50 razors from 20 people on each side, and are patterns, not proof.
- Unusual entries are held for review: a razor kept for over a year, more than five shaves logged in a day, or more than three razors from one phone finished on the same day.
- To keep the numbers honest, one phone can add at most 20 new razors a day.
- The numbers never compare a razor with what its pack claims.
- They’re worked out afresh every few minutes and show the date they were worked out. We may hold back a model’s numbers while we check them.
