Who we are
Disposable Tracker is made by Table 12 Pty Ltd (ABN 24 153 251 873), Victoria, Australia. Privacy questions: disposable@table12.com.au.
The short version
- Your razors stay on your phone unless you choose to share them.
- If you share, we receive anonymous records of finished razors, never your name, email address or location.
- We combine everyone’s records into free community numbers. To help pay for the app, we sell anonymous, combined statistics to razor brands, retailers and researchers. We never sell individual records.
- You can stop sharing, or delete what you’ve shared, at any time in the app.
What stays on your phone
Your razors, packs, shaves, check-ins, answers and settings. Your phone’s own backup carries them to a new phone.
What we receive if you choose to share
- For each finished razor: the razor model, your country, start and end dates (not times), the shave count (and the most shaves logged in one day, to spot mistakes), check-in answers, why you swapped it, care habits, what you shaved with, what you used it on, how you got the pack and where, whether you’d buy it again, the pack size, price and claim check if you entered them, and a random pack ID with the razor’s place in the pack.
- Your answers to any “Tell us more” form, with how many days into the razor you sent it.
- With each razor and form: the app’s version, and which wording of the sharing question you agreed to.
- The brand and name of any razor or shaving product you typed in yourself, so we can add it to the list.
- A random install ID that isn’t linked to you. It lets us take a resend only once, take a razor back if you undo a swap, and delete everything if you ask.
- Daily counts by country and app version: that the app was used that day (and the first time that month), how many swaps and shares, and, once per phone, its first razor and first shave. No install ID goes with them, so they can’t be traced to you. Each day’s counts carry a one-off report ID, kept for two days so a report that’s sent twice is counted once.
- To stop spam, a scrambled version of your phone’s IP address, kept for 24 hours and apart from your records.
The community numbers
The app downloads the community numbers from our website: the same file for everyone, whether or not you share. The download carries nothing about you or your razors, though like any request it reaches our host’s standard server logs.
Feedback notes
If you write a note (up to 280 characters), it’s never published. We read notes only in combined form, to spot themes. Please leave out names, contact details and health details. The app removes anything that looks like an email address, phone number or web link before sending.
A note that seems to mention self-harm is flagged for us to review, and is never published. We can’t tell who wrote it. If you’re going through a hard time, the app’s Settings has a free crisis line under Help.
What we don’t collect
Your name or email address in the app, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers. We don’t track you across other apps or websites, and the app has no ad networks.
The website
- If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and when you agreed.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To stop spam, we keep a scrambled version of your IP address for 24 hours.
- Our host keeps standard server logs.
How we use information
- Free community numbers and tips.
- Anonymous, combined statistics and paid research for businesses (only combined tables, with small groups left out, never individual records or contact details).
- Improving the app.
- Emailing you about the launch and the occasional Razor Report, if you asked.
Paid research (coming later)
- Only if you opt in, and adults only.
- You’ll be asked separately in the app.
- A postal address is asked for only when you agree to test a product, is held by our delivery partner, and is deleted within 30 days.
Who helps us run the service
- Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database, in Sydney), Resend (email), Apple and Google (app stores and notifications).
- We’ll add RevenueCat (purchases) and Sentry (crash reports) to this list before we use them.
- Some of these providers process data outside Australia, including in the United States.
Your choices
- Keep your logs on your phone.
- Stop sharing (Settings, then Sharing).
- Delete what you’ve shared (Settings, then Sharing, then Delete my data). It deletes every razor, form and note your phone sent, and stops sharing. The daily counts carry no install ID, so they can’t be picked out to delete. Our database’s backups keep deleted records for up to 7 days.
- Unsubscribe from emails.
- Contact us to access or correct your website information.
Children
The app isn’t designed for children, and paid research is for adults only.
Changes
We’ll update this page, and ask you again in the app before using shared data for anything new.
